Burris to Outline Health Care Position in Chicago
CHICAGO (AP) -- U.S. Sen. Roland Burris plans to use a stop in Chicago to outline his position on proposed changes to the way health care is provided in America.

Burris is scheduled to speak to constituents and health-care professionals at Stroger Hospital in Chicago on Monday. He plans to discuss why he believes a strong public option is needed.

The Illinois Democrat has said he'll only vote for a bill to provide health care to millions more Americans if it allows the government to sell insurance in competition with private insurers.

Burris is the former Illinois attorney general appointed to President Barack Obama's former Senate seat by Gov. Rod Blagojevich, who later was ousted from office.
