Eight Arrested After Drug Raid at Local Bar
Eight people, all but one from Galesburg, face some form of criminal charges after a police-conducted raid at a local bar.

A Galesburg Police spokesperson says the arrests were made around nine o'clock Wednesday night after what they described as "an investigation of possible drug trafficking" at the LaMesa bar in the 200 block of West Main Street.

Officials say cocaine, cannabis, and other drug items were found, but they are not specific on just how much was found.

Police do say 39-year old James Orozco was arrested on a Knox County Warrant charging him with six counts of Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance, and with Resisting a Peace Officer.

36-year old Pedro Orozco faces an obstruction charge, and 39-year old Cesario Alvarado was arrested on charge of Unlawful Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

All three were taken to the Knox County Jail.

Authorities say of the five people remaining that also were arrested, 25-year old Cody Freeman and 27-year old Keisha Davis were charged with Unlawful Possession of Cannabis, while Davis also faces a charge of Allowing a Minor to Frequent a Bar.
Three 18-year olds were also arrested on charges of Frequenting a Bar as a Minor.

Freeman, Davis, and the teens all were issued Notices to Appear in Court.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are pending.
