IL Attorney General Offers Holiday Shopping Guide
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) -- Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan is releasing her third "safe shopping guide" to help parents steer clear of children's products that have been recalled.

Madigan said Monday there have been 121 recalls of children's items, covering 17 million individual items.

The 93-page guide has three sections. It lists products by name and manufacturer and the unsafe feature. This year, the guide includes ten types of products not intended for children that were also recalled in 2009.

There is also information on precautions parents can take to prevent Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.

The guides may be downloaded or viewed at the attorney general's Web site.
