Final GOP Push Before Election
(IRN)-The candidates are approaching the finish line.

Republican U.S. Senate candidate Mark Kirk brought in Senator Scott Brown, who won a special election earlier this year, to vouch for Kirk’s independence at a rally in Chicago.

"Knowing this guy right here, he's not gonna be in lock step with Mitch McConnell or Harry Reid or any particular party. He's gonna be a independent voter and thinker, doing the best job he can for the people of Illinois," Brown said.

The Republican candidate for governor, State Senator Bill Brady, believes his numbers are good in public opinion polls, but he warned his supporters to make sure they vote, because only actual votes count.

After several stops around the state, Brady and Kirk had a joint rally in Chicago Sunday night. Brady Monday campaigns in Chicago, hits three Downstate airports: Springfield, Savoy and Cahokia, and finishes with a rally in Wheaton.
