Election Day Has Come
(IRN)-By this time tomorrow, hopefully, we will know who won and move on toward 2011.

It's Election Day, capping off nine months since the Illinois primary. We'll choose a governor, one U. S. senator, 19 members of the U. S. House, the entire Illinois House, and about a third of the Illinois Senate. There are also races for all of the other statewide officeholders: attorney general, secretary of state, comptroller, and treasurer.

In a twist to that Senate race, incumbent Senator Roland W. Burri will be leaving before the term is up. One election will choose his replacement for the remaining weeks of this term; the other will be for the six year term that begins in January.

Voters also see the questions of whether to retain certain Supreme Court justices and whether to amend the state's Constitution to allow recall of the governor. The polls are open from 6 a. m. to 7 p. m.
