IL Democrats Fight to Keep Three Key Congressional Seats
CHICAGO (AP) -- Democrats are fighting to keep three key Illinois congressional seats and claim a fourth open spot. Republicans in the districts have gained ground from tea party support and an anti-incumbency mood.

Congresswoman Debbie Halvorson faces Republican Air Force pilot Adam Kinzinger in the 11th District, which extends south of Chicago to Bloomington.

On Illinois' western border, U.S. Rep. Phil Hare faces pizzeria owner Bobby Schilling in the 17th. And Congressman Bill Foster faces Republican state Sen. Randy Hultgren in the 14th, which extends west of Chicago.

In the 10th District, Democrat Dan Seals is facing Republican Robert Dold. It's Illinois' only open congressional seat after Republican Congressman Mark Kirk decided to run to replace President Barack Obama in the Senate.
