National Railroad Hall of Fame Moves Ahead with Museum Possibilities
The National Railroad Hall of Fame is moving ahead with a philanthropic study.

The study really began last year, after being put on hold because of the economic recession.

Executive Director of the Hall of Fame, Julie King, tells WGIL's Galesburg Live, that things are once again under way.

"We spent the summer then consulting on this feedback with our national advisors, incorporating these ideas into a very targeted rail industry piece that hits all the buttons, if you will, to appeal to donors in the industry, and now we're moving into phase two which is a series of 35 confidential interviews with high level potential donors across the country."

King says the purpose of the study is to gage the interest and possible financial backers of a National Railroad Hall of Fame Museum tentatively planned for Galesburg.
