Schilling Learns the Ropes in Washington
Bobby Schilling hasn't had much time to relax after his election day win, taking the Congressional seat representing most of Knox County back to "red" for the first time in about three-decades.

Schilling is one of the around 100 or so newly-elected members of Congress in Washington for the next several days for training, orientation, and likely a number of welcome receptions and other activities.

The Colona Republican and Quad Cities pizzeria owner tells Fox News Channel it's simply time for a change.

"My standard answer is 'hey, look where the experienced politicians have gotten this great nation,'" Schilling said. "And it's time that we do as our founders wanted us to do, is take our tool belt off, set it to the side, and go in and serve the people of our districts, and that's exactly what I intend on doing."

Schilling defeated incumbent Phil Hare in his first time running for any political office. Schilling, a self-described Tea Party Republican, says despite numerous reports to the contrary, he doesn't see any sort of disagreement between the GOP and the Tea Party.

He says it's simply time for lawmakers to start working for the people that elected them.
