IL Senate Forms Two New Committees
(IRN)-The Illinois Senate has two new committees, and the members will be working quickly to meet a January 3rd deadline.

Senate President John Cullerton announced on the floor that he and his Republican counterpart, Senate Minority Leader Christine Rodogno, had formed the Workers Compensation Reform Committee and the Medicaid Reform Committee.

Cullerton says the committees are to hand in reports for the first week in January. Each committee will be made up of three Democrats and three Republicans.

Rodogno says she's pleased with this moving, saying everyone learned in the election that people want state government to do a better job of spending it's money.
