Galesburg Liquor Store Robbed at Gunpoint
Galesburg police are investigating an armed robbery that took place early Thursday morning.

Just after midnight, four black males allegedly entered the Discount Liquor on North Henderson Street and robbed the store at gun point.

Video surveillance shows the four men entering the front door on the south side of the store. Two of the men jump over the counter and begin going through items there, while another man with a hand gun directs the employee to the cash register and empties the money from it.

The fourth man can be seen carrying a riffle, but he does not appear to go behind the counter with the others.

According to police reports, however, the security camera was cut off at some point during the robbery.

The men stole money, cigars, a laptop computer, and possibly some liquor.

According to witnesses the men fled north on Henderson Street, and man who was in the Aldi parking lot next to Discount Liquor says he saw a fifth male meet up with the group after exiting the store. At this point no suspects are in custody.
