Weekend Holiday Festival Begins Saturday with Open House
Galesburg businesses will open their doors tomorrow for the annual Christmas "Open House Downtown."

From 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., businesses along Main Street will be open and looking to stamp cards for a $1,000 give away according to Dennis Case with the Galesburg Business Association.

"You go to Net 102, which is at 102 East Main, and pick up, for the lack of a better work, a bingo card, and you're gonna take that card to all the participating merchants and they're gonna put a stamp on your card. If you get 10 stamps you'll get one chance at a thousand dollars, if you get the card filled, you'll have two chances to win a thousand dollars to be spent with the GBA merchants."

The drawing for the shopping spree will be held at 3:15, but you don't have to be present to win.

And of course as part of the weekend holiday festival, the annual Christmas parade will be held Sunday beginning at two, just after Santa is rescued at Main and Cherry Street at 1:15.
