Jobs Fairs for Veterans Set Across IL
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) -- Illinois officials will host job fairs across the state to help military veterans find work and tell employers about tax credits available for hiring new workers.

The Illinois Department of Employment Security is host. The job fairs will emphasize services and opportunities particularly important to veterans.

They will feature businesses that would benefit from vocational and leadership training that members of the military receive.

Officials will also tout a new state and federal tax credits for hiring new workers and particularly veterans.

Job fairs will be Tuesday in Bloomington and Effingham, Wednesday in Belleville and Mount Vernon, Thursday in Chicago, Nov. 12 in Lawrenceville and Rock Island and Nov. 13 in South Holland.
