All-Clear After Third Bomb Threat at WIU Residence Hall
POSTED 4:42pm 11/5/10 The all-clear has been given at a residence hall on the campus of Western Illinois University in Macomb following the second bomb threat there in as many days, and the third in just under two weeks.

Western Illinois University says residents of Tanner Hall were given the all clear to return to their dorms around 4:30 Friday afternoon, just two hours after a bomb threat was received by a clerk at the hall.

University officials say the Office of Public Safety and other officials completed "a thorough search" of the hall, and determined that the building could re-open, and its eight-hundred residents could return.

A similar anonymous bomb threat was called in just Thursday, with nothing being found by a Secretary of State Police Bomb Squad and K-9 units from Adams County.

The university says they are working with the F.B.I. to try and find out who may have called in the bogus threats, and they want anyone with information to call the Office of Public Safety.

18-year old Cameron McKoy of Chicago, a student at Western, was arrested after the first threat October 25th, and faces felony Disorderly Conduct charges and pending University disciplinary proceedings.
