Schilling Sees Challenges Ahead
MOLINE, Ill. (AP) -- Congressman-elect Bobby Schilling admits it'll be tough to get things done in Washington.

The Republican defeated Democratic Congressman Phil Hare in a heavily Democratic district with 53 percent of the vote.

Schilling calls himself a tea party candidate who relied heavily on support from the movement.

But the 46-year-old pizzeria owner says there are divisive party politics and some tension between the GOP and tea party activists in Congress.

Schilling also believes that those who came out and supported him could also turn against him if he doesn't deliver.

Illinois' 17th district covers industrial cities and farming areas along much of the state's western border, including Galesburg and most of Knox County.
