Warren County Investigating Series of Break-ins
The Warren County Sheriffs Department is looking for the public's help in solving what has turned out to be a string of burglaries in the last seven days.

Sheriff Martin Edwards says the burglaries started last Tuesday and Wednesday. The one Tuesday is believed to have occurred in the 900 block of 10th Avenue in rural Warren County; along with two last Wednesday along 285th Avenue and 140th Streets.

Edwards says those, along with one reported yMonday to a home on Illinois 164 all happened during the daytime hours when no one was home, and all were targeting cash and jewelry.

He says whoever committed the break-ins seemed to ignore electronics and firearms.

No suspects are in custody, and an investigation continues. Anyone with information is asked to call the Warren County Sheriffs Department or the Warren County CrimeStoppers hotline.

Edwards says in the meantime, just in case, secure your valuables.
