BREAKING NEWS: District 205, Teachers Union Strike Deal
FIRST REPORTED 5:59pm 11/7/11 The last day of scheduled contract talks has proven successful. The Galesburg School District and the Galesburg Education Association both have issued statements announcing that a tentative contract deal has been reached.

Both the union and District 205 say no further details will be released until the GEA's members meet. The GEA says that membership meeting will be Wednesday at 5pm in the Galesburg High School Auditorium. They say details will be given to members at that time, and a ratification vote will be taken.

Neither side has so far had further comment. WE'RE FOLLOWING THIS STORY AND WILL HAVE FULL DETAILS THROUGHOUT THE EVENING, AND TUESDAY MORNING ON THE WGIL MORNING NEWS.
