Union Agreement Continues For Sandburg Teachers
The process Carl Sandburg College officials say has worked very well in negotiating contracts with its teachers union has worked yet again.

College officials announced Friday that the C-S-C Board of Trustees has approved a new extension of the ongoing contract with the Sandburg Education Association.

The current deal was set to expire in 2014 -- but college officials now say the deal extends to 2016, and will provide pay raises of nearly four percent in 2015 and 2016.

College officials say in a press release that the type of rolling negotiation process they use allows the best attention to be paid to students and their success -- what they call interest-based bargaining.

The press release states that the S-E-A and the college are pleased with the process and its results.
