Courthouse Plans Go To Bid
At last night's Knox County Building Committee Meeting, committee members unanimously approved sending the final plans for renovations on the Knox County Courthouse to bid.

The committee reviewed the details of the final plans, designed by Metzger-Johnson architects, and asked final questions before the vote.

The plans go to bid December 10th. County Board Chairman Greg "Chops" Bacon tells WGIL he trusts all the details were covered.

"We've got great architects," says Bacon. "Metzger-Johnson has been a dream to work with. I explicitly trust them: local, gotta love that."

The committee was updated on the state of pouring concrete on the sidewalks around the courthouse.

Bacon says that they have drainage holes open, they are going to put in concrete this week.

Sheriff David Clague said employees at the courthouse will enter through the handicap doors.
