Last Carjacking Suspect Sentenced To Prison
The last of the sentences has been handed down in the case of a carjacking incident over a year ago.

Knox County Circuit Court records indicate 21-year old Robert Kimble of Galesburg was sentenced yesterday to six-years in the Illinois Department of Corrections with credit for 266 days served in custody.

He pleaded guilty to a single felony charge of armed robbery. A grand jury had filed charges that included Aggravated Vehicular Hijacking, Reckless Discharge of a Firearm, a drug charge, and Obstructing Justice.

Kimble was one of five men arrested after the September, 2011 incident that started as a man's car was stolen on North West Street, and the owner pistol-whipped, with the gun allegedly firing accidentally, grazing his nose.

The vehicle was found near West Main Street and Linwood Road later on.

Of the five people arrested in connection with the case, 21-year old Rontonio Guterz received the stiffest sentence, being handed 13-years in prison.
