Galesburg Residents React to Blagojevich Corruption Charges
The shock of the recent events that have taken place involving the Illinois governor seem to have worn off a little, and now local residents are feeling more embarrassed and disappointed with the governor.

The U-S Attorneys' office Tuesday indicted Rod Blagojevich on federal corruption charges which allege, among other things, that he tried to profit from sale of the U-S Senate seat vacated by President-elect Barrack Obama. Blagojevich was freed from custody on a signature bond and was back at work on Wednesday.

Kirkwood resident Leo Cruz tells W-G-I-L he's disappointed that Blagojevich says he would clean up Illinois politics.

"First he (Blagojevich) was being demeanful and condescending to (George) Ryan, which he was guilty and he was saying 'I'm gonna run this state because I can clean it up.'" Greed in America...that's what drove him (Blagojevich)...it was not pennies, he was talking millions of dollars..."

Cruz believes Obama had no idea about any of corruption that's been linked to Blagojevich. Cruz says he's worried about the Senate appointment, saying Blagojevich should not be able to make pick someone because of his current situation.
