*Winter Weather Advisory for Tuesday*
posted 6:30 a-m 12/16/8 The National Weather Services says a Winter Weather Advisory will go into effect at 12 p-m Tuesday because of the expectation of several inches of snow.

The advisory remains in effect until 12 a-m Wednesday.

Here is this week's forecast from the National Weather Service:

TUESDAY...CHANCE OF SNOW THIS MORNING...THEN SNOW THIS AFTERNOON. 1 TO 3 INCHES. HIGH 22.

TONIGHT...SNOW LIKELY...THEN A CHANCE OF SNOW AND FREEZING DRIZZLE AFTER MIDNIGHT. SNOW ACCUMULATION AROUND 1 INCH. TOTAL ACCUMULATION 2 TO 4 INCHES. LOW AROUND 15.

WEDNESDAY...PARTLY SUNNY. HIGH 25.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT...CLOUDY. LOW AROUND 15.

THURSDAY...CHANCE OF FREEZING RAIN OR SNOW IN THE MORNING...THEN RAIN AND FREEZING RAIN LIKELY IN THE AFTERNOON. HIGH 32.

THURSDAY NIGHT...NOT AS COLD. CLOUDY WITH A 50 PERCENT CHANCE OF RAIN OR SNOW. NEAR STEADY TEMPERATURE OF 28.

FRIDAY...CLOUDY. HIGH 33.

FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY...PARTLY CLOUDY. LOW AROUND 16. HIGH 28.

SATURDAY NIGHT...CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF SNOW. LOW AROUND 9.

SUNDAY...COLDER. PARTLY SUNNY. HIGH AROUND 18.

As is always the case during weather that can cause challenging or dangerous travel conditions, police urge motorists to always buckle up, keep a full tank of gas, bring a fully charged cell phone with you, allow extra time to get to where you are going, give extra distance to the vehicle in front of you, and slow down.
