The Illinois Department of Agriculture has launched a website to promote gift items and gift baskets that are available from Illinois food products companies.

The offerings include meat items, seasonings, jams, fine wines, coffees and chocolates. In addition to food items, the website also includes items such as soy candles, beauty products and decorative items.

Stacey Solano, spokeswoman Illinois Department of Agriculture says there are roughly 160 Illinois companies listed on the website with hundreds of items available.

For more information, log onto www.agr.state.il.us and look for the "Purchase Illinois Products Gift Items Online" box on the right hand side of the screen.
