Monmouth Fires Still Under Investigation, Authorities Turn to Public for Help
Authorities in Monmouth are hoping the public can provide some clues into who is responsible for a rash of fires in the city between August and November.

Warren County Crimestoppers is seeking information about six different fires that have been classified as "suspicious" by investigators in Monmouth. Two of the fires happened at vacant houses: one on September 4th at 314 South D Street and the other on November 10th at 605 North 1st Street. No injuries were reported.

Someone also set fire on two different occasions to a storage shed at Willitts School at 105 North E Street. The first fire was reported on August 31st around 2:15 a-m and the second happened on September 3rd at 5:30 a-m. Two additional fires occurred September 5th during the early morning hours. A truck was damaged just before 4 a-m on the 5th in the 10-hundred block of East Euclid as was a car at 408 North I Street.

Officials with Crimestoppers say a cash reward of up to $1,000 could be paid in exchange for information that leads to the arrest and filing of criminal charges against whoever is responsible for the crimes.

Crimestoppers' phone number is 309-734-9363.
