Galesburg Marine Returns Home in Time for Christmas
It took awhile, but a Galesburg man serving in the Marines has finally returned home, and still in time for Christmas. Lance Corporal "Robb" Fitch of Galesburg returned to Galesburg Tuesday night, after his flight from Chicago O'Hare Airport was cancelled. Friends and family greeted him Wednesday afternoon during a reception at Northgate Lanes in Galesburg. Fitch is based with the Marines at Camp Pendleton in California, and recently returned stateside after a seven-month tour of duty in Iraq. Fitch says it's great to be home.
