Hawthorne Pool Reopens Monday
Hawthorne Municipal Pool will reopen on Monday, December 29, 2008 to the public for lane/open swim, aqua-fit classes and special school day out swims. A new pump/motor has now been installed. Open/lane swim is on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 6-8:00 a.m. and 4-6:30 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 1-4:00 p.m. There will be special school day out swims from 1-4:00 p.m. on December 29, 30, 2008 and January 2, 2009.

There will be free classes at Hawthorne Municipal Pool December 29-January 2, 2009. Aqua-fit participants will be able to attend classes from 8-9:00 a.m., 9-10:00 a.m. and/or 5:30-6:30 p.m. There will only be morning classes on December 31 and no classes on January 1, 2009. The new session will be January 5-30, 2009.

Learn to Swim participants will meet January 6-29, 2009 for the next session. Those that registered in December will be transferred to January. Registration will be taken at Lakeside Recreation Center, 1033 S. Lake Storey Road, until December 30, 2008 for the New Year session. There will be a special registration December 30, 2008 at Hawthorne Pool from 5-7:00 p.m.
