Make Your Own Abe Lincoln Birthday Card
You probably won't find one in stores but you can make your own Happy 200th Birthday card. That's what the Illinois Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission is looking for.

The commission is asking people to send cards to Lincoln for his 200th birthday on Feb. 12, 2009. Kay Smith, the commission's coordinator, says many of the cards that have already been received include "sincere messages" to the 16th president, many of them expressing thanks for what he accomplished.

Honest Abe even has his own address. Cards can be sent to:

President Abraham Lincoln
Old State Capitol
1 Old State Capitol Plaza
Springfield, IL 62701

Smith says a person portraying Lincoln will open the cards on the president's birthday. She hopes to display the cards at the Old State Capitol or the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum.
