Brady Says He's More Ethical
State Sen. Bill Brady (R-Bloomington) says he has more claim to the ethical high ground than do a couple of his opponents in the Republican gubernatorial primary. Brady says Andy McKenna and Jim Ryan should own up to their pasts.

McKenna, who quit as state Republican chairman over the summer -- on Republican Day at the Illinois State Fair -- is reportedly under investigation for using party-funded research to his own advantage. Brady says McKenna's successor as chairman, Pat Brady, has confirmed an investigation is under way.

Ryan, the former Illinois attorney general making a return to politics, has said he knew nothing of Stuart Levine's criminal ties when he accepted his former friend's campaign donations.

No comment from McKenna's campaign or from Pat Brady.
