Democratic Senate Candidates Debate
The four Democrats vying for the U.S. Senate don't agree on all the issues.

There is a difference among the four on sending additional troops to Afghanistan as well as on the timeline for troop withdrawal.

All four candidates, Illinois Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias, former federal prosecutor David Hoffman, Chicago Urban League President Cheryle Jackson and attorney Jacob Meister participated in a debate Wednesday in Chicago.

Meister and Giannoulias both support an increase of troops in Afghanistan. Giannoulias added that it will take more than just a military approach to stabilize the Pakistan-Afghanistan region.

Hoffman and Jackson say they are against sending more troops to the area and Hoffman expressed concern about the exit strategy. Jackson says invading a country isn't the only way to resolve conflict.
