Organizer Concerned with Greater Peoria Farm Show Attendance
An official with an area agriculture show that is officially underway as of Tuesday says he had a feeling attendance might be low, but he hopes it picks up sooner rather than later.

The 28th annual Greater Peoria Farm Show kicked off its three-day run Tuesday at the Peoria Civic Center, and manager Ron Bormaster says he had a feeling business might be slow, since farmers are still struggling to get their crops out of the fields due to the growing season's topsy-turvy weather.

But Bormaster tells WGIL he believes or hopes farmers will get there somehow.

"The biggest thing here is that you're here for three days, that's number one," Bormaster said. "We're a 28 year old show...every year we've had a great show. When we expanded over here a couple of years ago, we've got a lot of new equipment, new people in the show. So we look forward to having all of the producers come to the show."

The show highlights the newest in farm equipment and technology, and Bormaster says the recent expansion of the Civic Center's exhibit hall is allowing for more and even bigger equipment.

The Greater Peoria Farm Show runs 9am to 4pm each day through Thursday at the Peoria Civic Center, and you can find out more information by CLICKING HERE.
