Teen Wants to Plead in Connection to Shooting Incident
A Galesburg teenager apparently wants to admit to his role in a shooting two months ago that left a Galesburg man injured.

17-year old Terry Parker, Junior, was in Knox County Circuit Court Thursday for what was supposed to be an arraignment hearing on felony charges of Home Invasion, Residential Burglary, Burglary, and Aggravated Unlawful Restraint.

But Judge Steven Bordner granted a continuance of the hearing until January seventh so, Public Defender Dan O'Brien said, Parker could make a plea in the case.

Parker was arrested in late-October along with 17-year old Demetrius Hardrick and 24-year old Charles Graves. The three allegedly entered a home in the five-hundred block of West Second Street, where Hardrick is believed to have shot 20-year old Adam Pacheco.

Pacheco spent several days in a hospital as a result of the attack, but police have released few other details about the case, except to say that a bag allegedly containing cannabis was also found near the scene.

Hardrick, who faces attempted murder and felony weapons charges among others in the case, is scheduled for a pre-trial hearing in March. Graves, who faces the same charges as Parker except for the Unlawful Restraint count, will be in court in January.
