Hynes Responds to Quinn Allegations
Illinois' comptroller says his office is working with the governor's office, even as the men who lead those offices are taking jabs at one another for the 2010 Democratic nomination for governor.

Comptroller Dan Hynes says Gov. Pat Quinn is inconsistent in his proposed plans to borrow money to pay overdue bills; Hynes says Quinn has presented four different plans in the last three weeks.

Hynes called reporters to his office at the Statehouse Wednesday afternoon, shortly after Quinn -- in Chicago -- accused Hynes of blocking Quinn's borrowing plan.

"We're not going to sign on to half a billion dollars of borrowing and work out the details later," said Hynes. "This is insanity. We need a real plan."
