Monmouth Man Charged With Knox County Burglaries
A Monmouth man is in trouble with the law for allegedly trying to break in to homes in rural Knox County on several occasions over the last several weeks.

The Knox County Sheriffs Department says 29-year old Tony Haase was arrested Monday and has since been formally charged with Burglary, Residential Burglary, Attempted Burglary and Residential Burglary, and two-counts of Criminal Damage to Property.

Sheriffs Department officials don't release too many details, except that information had been received by the department over recent weeks about a white male driving a small silver vehicle in the area of Oak Run that was later linked to Haase. They say that an investigation turned up at least two homes where break-ins were allegedly tried.

Haase made his first court appearance Wednesday afternoon, where a judge set his bond at $150,000 and appointed a public defender to the case.

Haase will be back in court next Wednesday morning for a first appearance with counsel.
