Reward Offered for Damage at Vacant House
Warren County Crimestoppers is asking for the public's help as police investigate major damage at a house in rural Monmouth a few weeks ago.

The house is vacant and located at 1900 110th Street southeast of United High School. The owner is offering a $1,000 cash reward payable through Crimestoppers for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of whoever is responsible for damaging the house.

Authorities say the owner called the Warren County Sheriff's Department on November 29th to report damage both inside and outside the house. Officials say all of the windows were broken out, furnace duct work was torn from the basement ceiling, holes were punched in the walls, the bathroom sink and toilet were broken and the electrical conduit was torn off the side of the house. The damage is estimated at $10,000 and police believe it happened a short time before the 29th of last month.

Police urge anyone with Information about this or any other crime in the Monmouth and Warren County areas to call Crimestoppers (309-734-9363). Tips that lead to the arrest and filing of formal criminal charges for an unsolved crime could result in a $1,000 cash reward from Crimestoppers on top of the $1,000 reward the owner of the house is offering. Callers to Crimestoppers do not have to give their name.
