Man in Trouble After Initiating High Speed Chase in Fulton County
A Colorado man is behind bars in Fulton County after he led police on a high speed chase early Friday morning.

The Fulton County Sheriff's Department says deputies observed a truck traveling 93 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour speed zone around 1:30 a-m east of Ipava. Police tried to stop the truck, which attempted to elude the officers.

Authorities say their pursuit on snow-covered roads went north and west of Ipava before it finally ended with 25-year old Cody Stambaugh being stopped in the area of U-S Route 136 and Dobbins Lane, west of Ipava.

Deputies allege Stambaugh had been drinking. Police arrested him and he was booked into the Fulton County Jail on preliminary charges of DUI, aggravated fleeing and eluding police, reckless driving and two other traffic counts.
