Grand Jury Indicts University Bomb Threat Suspect
It's now a more serious case against the Chicago teenager accused of making bomb threats over a month long period at Western Illinois University in Macomb.

A statement from the U-S Attorney's Office indicates a federal grand jury Thursday indicted 18 year old Cameron McKoy of nine counts relating to making bomb threats to the university.

The specific court records in the case are not available, so it's not clear what the charges are.

The indictment accuses McKoy of making a bomb threat by phone to Tanner Hall on the Western Campus October 25th, and that eight additional threats were made using a computer-based automated call service during the first two weeks of November.

All the threats, authorities say, were determined to be a hoax.

The U.S. Attorney says if convicted, McKoy could be sentenced to 10 years in prison on each count, and handed a $250,000 fine.

An arraignment date in federal court has yet to be scheduled. McKoy, until then, remains in the custody of U-S Marshalls.
