Donkey is Looking for a Home
CASEYVILLE, Ill. (AP) -- Any southwestern Illinois resident who'd like a real live Christmas donkey should contact Sharon Burnett of Fairview Heights, who's been saddled with one nicknamed Hobo.

Burnett runs a horse, mule and miniature donkey farm in Caseyville, and she says she didn't choose Hobo -- he chose her.

Burnett tells the Belleville News-Democrat that Hobo just climbed over the fence from a neighboring boarding barn one day, and kept coming back. She later learned that Hobo's owner had left the area and the people who ran the boarding barn didn't want him, so she took him in.

But Burnett wants a new home for Hobo because she can't afford to have him gelded.

Anyone interested in adopting Hobo or helping him in any way can call Burnett at 792-6628.
