IL Man Accused of Soliciting Teen Girl Online
MENDON, Ill. (AP) -- A western Illinois man is in a jail in Oregon on charges linked to his online sexual communications with a 16 year old girl.

44 year old Thomas Cantrell of Mendon was arrested Monday at a motel in Coos Bay, Ore.

He's charged in Oregon with six counts of luring a minor. He's also charged with four counts apiece of endangering the welfare of a minor and furnishing sexual material to a minor, two counts each of coercion and encouraging child sex abuse, and one count of online sexual corruption of a child.

The Quincy Herald-Whig reports that Oregon police tipped off by Illinois investigators about Cantrell's possible meeting with the girl located the teenager.

Cantrell has an unpublished home telephone listing.
It was not immediately clear if he has an attorney.
