Orpheum Theatre Attendance Up
Reports from the Orpheum Theatre were mostly positive during last week's Tourism Council Meeting.

Theatre President Kate Francis said attendance surpassed a previously set goal.

"We are obviously coming to the end of our holiday programing season, that we have had that I've been talking about since the beginning of the last quarter of the year is that surpassed 30,000 attendance this year. I think it was 30,400."

Francis says the more than 30-thousand attendance rates is despite a 25 percent decrease in attendance from outside the immediate Galesburg area.

Still, Francis says they plan to set a tentative goal of 35-thousand for next year.
The line up of show for the Red Carpet Series is expected to be announced in February.
