Drop Side Cribs Illegal for Anyone to Sell
(IRN)-With the sale of drop side cribs illegal in the state, Illinois' Attorney General acknowledges it is hard to enforce secondary sales.

But Attorney General Lisa Madigan says her office has been monitoring online sites like Craig's List for sales of the cribs. If they find one for sale they notify the seller that the cribs have been recalled. Madigan says most people are more than happy to comply and pull the ad off of the internet.

Beginning in June, drop side cribs will be banned nationwide, and fixed side cribs will be the standard. It's been just over a year since drop side cribs we're deemed unsafe, allowing the state to ban their sale. Those who ignore the law could be slapped with a Class C misdemeanor.
