School Board Candidates File Petitions
The deadline has come and gone for those hoping to file petitions for local school boards. Monday was the final day to file paperwork and Galesburg School Distirct 205 had a number of candidates come forward for four open seats.

Kathryn Timmons, Faye Schulz, Thomas Colclasure, Molly Palmer, Stephen Gugliotta are all vying for a seat along with incumbents Mike Panther and Gloria Osborne.
Board President Deborah Harrison and Carl Strauch did not file petitions for re-election.

In Knoxville District 202, incumbents Tim Rickard, Jeff Johnson, and Hillard Byom will face new candidates Tamara Myers and Brent Shreeves.
Long-time board member Gale Trulson did not file re-election petitions as of Monday.

Four incumbents will compete for their current seats against two new comers in the ROWVA school district. Paige Rohweder and Rebecca King are hoping to unseat incumbents Bill Murdock, Rob Kalb, Jim Cahill or President Kevin Erickson, all of which have filed their petitions as well.

It is much the same story in Abingdon, with four terms that will expire next year, but each seat holder hoping to stay on the board. Incumbents James Bloomberg, Sharon Lomax, Bonnie Froelich, and Roger Schrodt are all running again.
Non-incumbents Leah Glaser and Amy Goehl are running as well.
