Quinn Names Interim CDB Director
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) -- Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn has named an interim director of the state's Capital Development Board.

Gevan "Gus" Behnke will take over from Jim Reimer. Reimer is retiring Friday.
Behnke has been with CDB since 1979 and has been chief fiscal officer for 22 years. He served as acting executive director for a period in 2003.

CDB is the state agency overseeing design and construction of most structures built for state use such as university buildings, recreation areas and health centers. It's also responsible for repair and renovation of more than 8,400 state-owned structures.

Reimer has been executive director since 2008. He joined CDB in 1987 and was named deputy director of the construction administration division in 2003. He previously spent 15 years as a journeyman ironworker.
