Knox County Health Department Debates Annual Report Circulation
The Knox County Board of Health is showing some opposition toward last year's means of creating and distributing their annual report.

Administrator Heidi Britton says the past designer of the informational foldout will be unavailable to create the next edition.

Board member Dr. Tommy West says that's reason enough to stay away from using the Register Mail for developing the annual report this time around.

"By not making workers available, many times that affects whether or not you utilize something," West said. I'm already bias towards not using the Register Mail, just because this year there are more costs that they want to pass on."

"We are already have to pay to do it, were have to pay for everything to provide to do it. If we are going to do it ourselves, maybe they will probably be a bit more responsive next year when you see if it's their year to use them."

West says it would be better to keep the project in house this year for economic reasons.

He advises switching between print outlets on a year to year basis. Last year the Knox County Health Department spent $4500-dollars alone on the Register Mail's design of the annual report.
