Galesburg Home Allegedly Invaded by Sharp-Dressed Men
Witnesses of a suspected home invasion Monday afternoon in Galesburg say a group of black men barged into a residence wearing suits.

A Galesburg Police report indicates around 4pm Monday 63-year old Lewis Laviollette was attacked inside his home at 1595 Bateman Street.

Reports show witnesses in the neighborhood saw at least three vehicles pull up to the residence, including a red pick up, silver SUV, and a blue car. Witnesses say a group of "well-dressed" black males entered the address.

Authorities say upon their arrival, Laviollette was found sitting on the floor breathing heavily and having trouble standing. He was treated at Galesburg Cottage Hospital for minor injuries.

Police say the victim's home was in disarray; a table had been turned over, and there was broken glass and other items thrown around.

Laviollette reportedly was able to identify 35-year old Heath Williams and 56-year old Charles Williams Jr., both of Galesburg, to be among the men suspected of invading his home.

Galesburg Police say both men are wanted for home invasion, and an award up to $1,000-dollars is available for any further information.
