Local Church Producing Another Reality Christmas
Galesburg's Bethel Baptist Church is at again with another reality-TV based Christmas production.

This weekend's play is called "Reality Christmas 2, The Office Party." It is open to the public Saturday and Sunday for 7pm showings each night.

Director Bob Moberg tells the WGIL Morning News the "Reality Christmas" series brings a different premise to Christmas programs.

"Reality programs on television are so popular right now, when you will go into the actual thoughts of the person's activity you are watching," Moberg said. "So we decided to do a play where we frequently go to the video aspect, where we see what's really going on in the character's mind."

"And it's really fun, it's like two aspects of life we all live with in one way or another."

Moberg says unlike last year, a playwright with 20 years of experience was hired to develop the script for this years production.

He says writing the play began in June, with rehearsals in November. Over two thousand people attended last year's production of the family-based "Reality Christmas 1" at Bethel Baptist Church.
