Three More Car Burglaries in Galesburg
Three more vehicle thefts have been reported in Galesburg since Monday afternoon, including two overnight.

This coming on the heels of three arrests made over the weekend for an alleged burglary spree involving vehicles, garages and a residence on the city's northwest side.

Galesburg police say two brand new Sony speakers and an amplifier were stolen from an unlocked Pontiac in a garage at 799 East Berrien Street sometime before noon Monday.

They say early Tuesday morning, they responded to two separate burglaries within an hour's time.

Authorities say around 3:30am at 175 Blaine Avenue, an engagement ring, two 200-watt speakers, and a 2800-watt Boss Chaos Amp were stolen from the trunk of a Ford SUV. The items' are valued at a total of $900-dollars according to reports.

Police say before 4:30am the resident at 368 West Losey Street reported someone had rifled through the glove box of her Nissan, but had allegedly only taken a credit union membership card from a cup holder. In both suspected overnight burglaries, the vehicles were also unlocked.

There are no suspects at this time. Each of the thefts remain under investigation.
