Galesburg Police Make Arrests in Recent Graffiti Ring
An 18-year old Galesburg man and three juveniles were nabbed by police Tuesday after allegedly tagging their final piece of property in a three-day graffiti spree.

Police are charging Korey Agans with criminal damage to property under $500-dollars, and are accusing the three juveniles of the same. Authorities are still searching for a fifth suspect involved.

Police say Agans and the four others allegedly defaced various properties with gold, red, and silver spray paint between Sunday and Tuesday in the southeast portion of Galesburg.

According to reports, Agans and the three charged juveniles were taken into custody at 700 South Chambers Street before 1pm Tuesday-- where they were suspected of spray painting a signal box at a railroad crossing.

Authorities allege the teens had previously tagged vehicles late Sunday night or early Monday morning on East Third Street and Allens Avenue.

Records also indicate a teacher at Knox County Academy reported obscenities on the west door of the school in gold paint Monday morning.
