Monmouth Blaze Destroys Mobile Home
Monmouth Firefighters extinguished a mobile home blaze early Tuesday morning within a half hour, but were unable to preserve the home.

Firefighters say they responded to a call at 3:25am from a single adult living inside the house trailer at 1016 South B Street in Monmouth.

They say Monmouth Fire were the only ones on the scene, and the flames were controlled in roughly thirty minutes time.

The resident suffered no injuries according to fire officials. They say the adult was able to exit the home without any assistance.

With the mobile home deemed, "un-livable" from the fire's destruction, the American Red Cross Western Illinois Chapter says they're providing supplies to meet that individual's needs.

The Monmouth Fire Department is listing the cause of the fire as undetermined and is continuing investigations.
