Secret Car Compartment Discovered After Arrest
23 year old John Haun of Galesburg was pulled over in the 1700 block of West Carl Sandburg Drive just after midnight this morning.

Haun was wanted on a Warren County warrant for a firearm charge.

Officers cautiously approached the vehicle with guns drawn when police noticed something drop from the bottom of Haun's vehicle.

According to the report, open beer containers and an uncased hunting bow were present inside the car.

Officers arrested Haun and searched the area where a bag of cocaine was allegedly discovered on the pavement beneath the car.

Police cited the bag of cocaine as the item they observed dropping from the vehicle.

During the car's processing, it was discovered that a compartment in the floor of the car allowed Haun to dispose of the drugs while officers were approaching the vehicle.

Haun is currently being charged with illegal transportation of alcohol, driving on a suspended license, transport of an uncased hunting bow, and possession of a controlled substance.

His bond was set at 25-thousand dollars. His next appearance in court will be this Friday.
