Local Writer Talks About Book
The author of the book "Tell Everyone I said Hi" Chad Simpson spent his Saturday afternoon in Stone Alley Book Store signing copies of his book for people.

Simpson says the book is comprised of 18 different short stories that share a theme.

He tells WGIL he looks for things in everyday life for inspiration as well as what's in his head.

"It goes both ways, like some of these stories very much come out of real life and then I have to do that work of changing it and not so that it's not like real life but so that it's meaningful to someone other than me."

Simpson says it took him nine years to finish this book.

He says he like writing short stories but has a few novels he's started.

Currently Simpson says he's interested in the Noir Crime stories and might focus his next book on that genera.
