New High School Starts To Take Form
At a special board meeting Wednesday night for the Knoxville School district architects from B-L-D-D updated the board on where the new high school project stands.

There were was a full agenda presented to the board of things that needed to be done before moving onto the next phase.

Superintendent Steven Wilder tells WGIL the project will never be perfect and the board could spend years attempting to make it so but it's time to move the project along.

"We can continue to fine tune this thing for a long, long time," says Wilder. "But at some point you either have to fish or cut bait and that was kind of the proposal I made to the board tonight. We're kind of at a point that if we can make as many as these decisions that are hanging out there, we're going to be in better shape."

The board went over the flooring deciding on carpet or tile in some of the areas.

There was also talk about the type of lighting on the outside of the building as well as the inside.

The lighting did prove to be a bit problematic with a discussion on whether or not they would go with L-E-D lighting or florescent lighting..

Wilder says depending on how the board feels about the lighting and what researcher they find could cause a delay in the process but for now they're on track to get bigs out mid to late January.
